Client: Texas A&M
Project: Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball
Objective: Transform the branding in the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball to reflect to recruits what it means to be an Aggie.
Goals: We were presented with the challenges of a tight budget and several designed elements that were already in place. Additionally, the designs in the gym had to double in function as sound breakers, based off a specific layout. We gladly accepted the challenges and the project has been well received.
Solutions: We used as many existing elements as possible, painting furniture, refinishing displays, and changing out graphics rather than rebuilding frames. This allowed us to go all out on high impact changes, bringing in bold color and texture, which plays off of the military background of the university. Messaging is woven throughout the displays, giving meaning to each space. The bold new look has been a big hit.
